These are one of my families absolute favorite dessert. I know for a fact that they will be totally gone within three days of making them. It’s for certain. My mom has had this recipe forever, not sure where she got it from, there are similar recipes out there but none are as good.
The stars of the show: butter, flour, brown sugar, seedless fruit jelly, old-fashioned oats, baking soda, salt, and chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Chop your pecans
Combine your dry ingredients
Mix in the melted butter
Pat half of the mixture into a 9″ x 13″ pan.
Spread your jelly in an even layer
Sprinkle on the remaining mixture. Cover it all but don’t pat it down.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes
Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
2 2/3 cups of flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup uncooked oats
2 cups chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups butter, melted
1 1/2 cups fruit jam
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Mix in melted butter
- Pat 1/2 of mix into 9″ x 13″ greased pan
- Spread jam in an even layer
- sprinkle on remaining mix
- Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes until golden brown on top
