These are one of my families absolute favorite dessert. I know for a fact that they will be totally gone within three days of making them. It’s for certain. My mom has had this recipe forever, not sure where she got it from, there are similar recipes out there but none are as good.


Lets Live Yall bar ingredientsThe stars of the show: butter, flour, brown sugar, seedless fruit jelly, old-fashioned oats, baking soda, salt, and chopped pecans

Pat half of the mixture into a 9″ x 13″ pan.

Lets Live Yall Bars for ovenSprinkle on the remaining mixture. Cover it all but don’t pat it down.

Raspberry Bars


2 2/3 cups of flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup uncooked oats
2 cups chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups butter, melted
1 1/2 cups fruit jam


Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  1. Combine dry ingredients.
  2. Mix in melted butter
  3. Pat 1/2 of mix into 9″ x 13″ greased pan
  4. Spread jam in an even layer
  5. sprinkle on remaining mix
  6. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes until golden brown on top
